STARMOEN AIRPORT &
OLE REISTAD CENTRE
This national glider facility is Norway’s largest and best developed air sports facility. The facility satisfies international standards for competitions for gliders, motorised planes, microplanes and a range of disciplines within model flying. In addition to an airstrip with both grass and asphalt surfaces, there are hangars and an administration building. 100 bed spaces are also available with standards ranging from simple youth hostel to fully-equipped high-quality huts. Year-round overnight accommodation available as well.
Elverum Flyklubb offers group events piloting gliders, motorised planes, microplanes and model planes. The Ole Reistad Centre organises glider courses and can offer introductory trips. Advance reservations required, and all activities are organised weather conditions permitting.
